QS World University Rankings:
Asia 2024
The 16th edition of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024 features 856 institutions from 25 countries and territories. India is now the most represented higher education system, with 148 featured universities - 30 more than last year, and followed by China with 133 and Japan with 96.
Peking University tops the rankings for another year as the region’s best university. The university comes in first place with 100 points overall – scoring highly in indicators such as ‘Academic reputation’ (100) and both ‘Employer reputation’ and ‘Staff with PhD’ (99.8).
QS Vice President, Ben Sowter says: “This year’s ranking is the largest ever, featuring a record number of Asian universities. Not only does this reflect a flourishing and intensely competitive higher education ecosystem but facilitates evermore granular analysis of its institutions, allowing informed selection by students and targeted improvements by the region’s university leaders and policymakers.”
