The winner of 'Campus Sustainability Pioneer' for QS ImpACT is Sylvain Djerambete from Chad. Chadian students possess the energy, will, empathy and authenticity to create sustainable change but do not possess the knowledge on climate change to lead our communities to a green future. The project of providing green literacy by ISEC CHAD is not just about receiving an award; it represents a collective success achieved through the hard work of dedicated young leaders. This community is committed to building a sustainable future through environmental education. The project acknowledges the exceptional work of young environmental activists across Chad who are striving to create a green and sustainable future.
The team aims to address the challenges faced by Chad due to climate change, including biodiversity degradation, the drying up of Lake Chad, floods, irregular rainfall, conflicts between communities, and lack of environmental education. They have developed various initiatives such as leadership programs, sustainability campuses in universities, summer academies for teachers, waste management programs in schools, and educational materials like comics and newspapers. However, they recognise the limitations of their resources and call for support from organizations and individuals who share their vision. The project aims to use education as a powerful tool to bring about positive change, echoing Nelson Mandela's words: "Education is the most powerful tool which can be used to change the world.

It featured influential speeches and engaging discussions, showcasing the participation of distinguished leaders from the United Nations, Forbes 30 Under 30, and renowned global universities. A remarkable lineup of over 15 speakers and 16 judges contributed to the event's success, adding depth and value to the mission. The primary objective of the awards was to acknowledge and honour exceptional youth leaders spanning the globe, recognising their remarkable contributions to community regeneration and transformation. After a rigorous evaluation, 45 finalists emerged from 18 different countries, with 8 emerging as winners.
Critical to the success of the event were the collaborative efforts with 15 impact partners, who played a pivotal role in supporting and enriching the journey towards creating a truly impactful and successful awards ceremony. The QS ImpACT Awards not only celebrated individual achievements but also fostered a collective spirit of regeneration.
