QS: Tell me more about ENAE Business School

ENAE International Business School is a leading institution based in Murcia, Spain, with over 35 years of experience in providing high-quality education focused on business, leadership, and international management. Our mission is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a highly technological and globalized business world, empowering them to become leaders in their fields. At ENAE, we prioritize innovation, internationalisation, and professional development, ensuring that our graduates can successfully navigate today’s dynamic business challenges.

We have a strong connection with the business community through partnerships with companies and organizations, providing practical learning opportunities, internships, and employability-focused programmes. This synergy allows ENAE to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world business needs

QS: ENAE Business School has set as part of its mission to help graduate students from emerging economies to lead in the business environment. I’m curious why emerging economies was explicitly mentioned? Is there a strategic outcome that ENAE hopes to achieve?

Focusing on emerging economies is a deliberate part of our strategic vision. ENAE, at its origin, was set up to educate executives in the Southeast of Spain in the late 80s when Spain got EU membership. At this time our associated companies were concern on the competitivity of their business in that new more competitive environment. We have been very successful in equipping executives that has lived the transition process from being operating in an emerging to advanced economy, this experience together with our approach to Latin America and East Asia since our early internationalization process 20 years ago, has allow us to get the expertise in these environments. We believe that talent exists everywhere, and the growth potential in emerging markets presents unique opportunities for both the individuals and the regions they represent. By empowering students from these economies, ENAE seeks to foster sustainable business leadership, promote innovation, and contribute to the economic development of these regions.

The strategic outcomes we hope to achieve include training individuals who can adapt to complex and multicultural business environments, building connections between emerging markets and Europe, creating mutual opportunities for investment, trade, and innovation, as well as equipping graduates with advanced skills to drive entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and business success in their home countries.

QS: What are some of ENAE Business School’s other strategic goals, and why were they chosen?

Our strategic goals align with the evolving demands of the global business landscape. These include:

  • Promoting digital transformation: In response to rapid technological change, we aim to prepare professionals to lead in areas such as digital business, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
  • Strengthening internationalisation: By welcoming international students and fostering global partnerships, we enhance diversity and prepare students for crossborder leadership roles.
  • Driving innovation, risk management and sustainability: We integrate innovation and sustainable practices into our programmes, preparing students to tackle global challenges with responsible business practices.
  • Enhancing employability: We focus on equipping our students with practical skills and industry connections to ensure they are highly employable in competitive markets.

QS: What partnerships have you developed, where were they, and why were they chosen?

At ENAE, we place a strong emphasis on building strategic partnerships to enhance learning opportunities and global connectivity. We collaborate with more than 250 leading businesses, providing internships, projects, and employment opportunities for our students. ENAE has also partnered with institutions across Europe, United States, Latin America, and Asia, facilitating double-degree opportunities. In addition, we actively engage with international business forums and chambers of commerce to strengthen ties between economies and create opportunities for our students and alumni. These partnerships are chosen based on their ability to provide value to our students and align with our mission to deliver globalized, practical education. They allow us to provide hands-on experiences, broaden our students’ professional networks, and promote cultural and academic exchange.

QS: . Are there new programmes or courses that your institution is considering to tackle future and current challenges?

Absolutely. ENAE continuously adapts its academic offerings to address emerging global challenges. These programmes align with current trends and equip students to address global issues such as sustainability, digitalization, and ethical leadership in the corporate world. Some of the new initiatives include:

  • Master in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Business: Given the importance of big data and automation, we are developing programmes to train professionals to analyse data-driven business decisions.
  • Master in Digital Transformation and Innovation Management: A programme designed to equip students with skills in digital transformation, AI, and business innovation.
  • Master in Organizational Risk Management: A programme tailored to train professionals to manage risk in organizations while navigating, geopolitics, environmental issues, technological chalenges and economic complexities.
  • Master in Sustainable Agribusiness Management: A programme with a clear focus on sustainable resource management.

QS: What are the university’s goals in the short-term?

In the short term, ENAE has outlined several priorities to consolidate our growth and enhance our impact. One of our main objectives is to foster the impact of our faculty through their intellectual contributions, in line with ENAE's core areas: sustainability, employability and networking, digitalisation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and internationalisation. We are also focusing on innovation and digitalization, investing in technological infrastructure, incorporating digital tools into our teaching methods, and offering cutting-edge programmes in tech-driven fields. We aim to further personalize learning pathways, improve student support services, expand access to job opportunities, and play a pivotal role in preparing professionals for the global market. In this sense, ENAE will also continue to build relationships with businesses to bridge the skills gap, boost employability for our graduates and strengthening employer engagement One of our short-term priorities is expanding international reach by growing our network of international students and academic partners, we hope to increase cultural diversity and global exposure
